A direct and compelling headline

Back to School time is here! I want to personally reach out and give a big, heartfelt welcome to each and every one of you! Whether you are returning to our school community or joining us for the first time, we are thrilled to have you as part of the Middletown family. Together, we embark on a journey of learning, growth, and success, and we are committed to ensuring that every student feels valued, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential.

A Community That Thrives Together

MCSD believes that our strength lies in the diversity and unity of our community. We are a vibrant tapestry of cultures, backgrounds, and experiences, and this rich diversity is what makes Middletown City Schools a dynamic place to learn and grow. We are dedicated to fostering an environment where every student and family feels seen, heard, and respected. Your voices matter, and we encourage you to stay connected, share your thoughts, and be an active part of the Middie community.

Stay Informed and Get Involved

Communication is key to a successful school experience, and we are committed to keeping you informed throughout the year. The District monthly newsletter is your go-to resource for important updates, upcoming events, and celebrations of our students' achievements. Schools and teachers also send home newsletters with additional information to help you stay informed. We encourage you to take a few minutes each month to read through the communications and stay informed about what’s happening in our schools. By staying connected, you help ensure your child has the support they need to thrive.

We also invite you to get involved in our schools. Whether it’s attending school events, joining a parent organization, or volunteering your time, your involvement makes a significant difference in the success of our students. Together, we can create a nurturing environment where every child can excel.

The Importance of Daily Attendance - Stay in the Game

As we kick off the 2024-2025 school year, I want to emphasize the importance of students coming to school each day. Regular attendance is crucial to staying on track academically and developing the skills necessary for a successful life. When students attend school consistently, they "stay in the game" of learning, building strong academic foundations, social-emotional health, and relationships.

We understand that life can be unpredictable, but we urge you to prioritize your child’s attendance. When students show up every day, they are setting themselves up for success—not just in school, but in life. Missing just a few days of school can add up quickly, leading to gaps in learning that can be difficult to overcome. We miss your children, our students when they are not in school.

Looking Forward to a Year of Growth and Success

As we look ahead to the new school year, I am filled with optimism and excitement. Our dedicated teachers, staff, and administrators have been working hard to prepare for a year of engaging learning experiences, and we are ready to support your child every step of the way. I am confident that, together, we will achieve great things.

Thank you for being a valued member of the Middletown City Schools community. Let’s make this school year one of growth, achievement, and shared success. Remember, we are stronger together!
