Dear Parents/Guardians,

We thank you for your patience and understanding as we welcomed our students back to campus over the past two weeks. While the 2020-2021 school year looks very different, we are thankful to have our community back together. Our students, faculty, and stuff are truly rising to the challenge.

With current school restrictions, we have some changes to Back-to-School Night for this year, which will still take place on Thursday night, Sept. 24, from 6:45 p.m. to 9 p.m. The evening will be virtual.

Our teachers and staff will be hosting each of their “classes” live via Zoom to present and introduce themselves to the parents/guardians of their students. This will also give you an opportunity to see what your student sees when they learn from home.

Mrs. Courtney Peters, our Communications Director, will send out a list of Zoom links for all of our teachers the morning of the Sept. 24. You will follow your child’s roster, attending the specific classes at the assigned periods. The teachers will have about 10 minutes for each class period, and will work to answer any questions left in the chat if they have time.

The schedule will be as follows:

6:45-6:55 p.m. - Welcome message from our principal, Dr. Anchen Schulz and our acting president, Mr. Jim Leary. This will be available on our school website and on social media.

7:00-7:10 - 1st Period
7:15-7:25 - 2nd Period
7:30-7:40 - 3rd Period
7:45-7:55 - 4th Period
8:00-8:10 - 5th Period
8:15-8:25 - 6th Period
8:30-8:40 - 7th Period
8:45-8:55 - 8th Period

Please follow your child’s roster as it is listed on PowerSchool. Teachers will be meeting with students from both their “A” and “B” Groups for each period at the same time. The faculty will monitor the Waiting Room for their classes for the first two minutes at the start of class to ensure they are able to welcome as many parents in as possible. We ask that after the teacher lets you into the class for each period, you keep yourself muted throughout the presentation.

If you are not able to make the evening, if there is not time for questions during the class period, or the teacher is not able to answer your question, we encourage you to connect with your child's educator after the evening to discuss any questions you might have. These sessions will not be recorded.

While we are disappointed to not be able to see everyone in person on Sept. 24, we do look forward to connecting with you virtually for our Back-to-School Night!
