Hello Griffin Families!

We are so excited to welcome our students back to school tomorrow!

As a reminder, school begins at 7:50 AM and ends at 3:30 PM.

Please remember our drop-off runs from 7:15-7:50 AM. Families will not be allowed to enter the lot until 7:10 AM. Officers will be monitoring the lots so that faculty may park unrestricted.

Very Important First Day Attendance

If your student is ill and will not be able to attend the first day of school, please notify Mrs. Clark for the Lower School and Mrs. White for our Upper School as soon as possible. The enrollment cycle is complete when your student attends the first day of school. If he or she will not be present, it is important to coordinate with the registrar so your spot is not released.

Carline: A Little Patience Goes a Long Way!

The first few weeks of school always bring longer morning and afternoon carlines. With parents doing more individual drop-offs and pick-ups, carpools still getting organized, and clubs, athletics, and other activities not yet in full swing, there are simply more cars on campus than there will be once everyone settles into a routine.

We know carline can be long and tiring, and we truly appreciate your patience! The best way to help things move safely and efficiently is to follow the established procedures and the directions of our staff, even when another route may look a little faster.

For morning drop-off, students are expected to be in their classroom by the 7:50 a.m. bell.

Afternoon pick up students are expected to be picked up by 4:15 PM ( 2:10 early release)

That said, we understand that these first few weeks can bring unusually long lines. We will extend some grace with tardiness as everyone gets acclimated and our routines fall into place.

Please plan ahead, arrive as early as you reasonably can, and pack a little extra patience. Before long, carpools will be rolling, activities will be underway, and carline will be running much more smoothly.

Please remember for pick-up at the end of the day we ask that you arrive at the appropriate wave times shown below for a safe and orderly pick-up. ER refers to our early release wave.

The academic calendar for the 2026-2027 school year which shows our school holidays and our early dismissal days is available on the school website.

This Friday, August 14^th, will be a full-day Friday; our first Early Release Friday will be August 21, with the school day ending at 1:22 pm.

GHNO's Parent Service Organization (PSO)

Welcomes you back to school! The PSO welcome letter can be found here! Interested in volunteering, check out the PSO page on our academy website or at www.ghnopso.org. All volunteers must complete a background check and training to volunteer on campus. Volunteering is a great way to connect with our community and meet other parents!
