Back-to-School 2020

All of the schools in the Kane County Districts are now back in session!

We continue to be amazed by the work our teachers are putting in, both in and out of the classroom. This year has been a test for many, and our teachers and employees throughout the county keep continuing to exceed expectations.

Bus Safety Reminders
Never pass a bus from behind
Be alert: children may not look for hazards and cross the street when it is unsafe
When a school bus is traveling on a two-lane road, the vehicles in both lanes of traffic must stop

Leading For Equity and Excellence in the School Setting
One of the most important topics in education right now is equity & excellence.

Join us on October 14th for an academy, fully online, led by Ivette Dubiel.

This course will provide strategic ways to advance educational equity in your respective districts. The course will address practical considerations when systemically shifting and embedding a focus on equity. Participants will be able to reflect on their professional responsibilities toward the organizational commitment of equity and serving all students, especially marginalized populations.

The Progress Report: Whatever it Takes
In this week's post of The Progress Report, Katie Algrim discusses the different adaptations teachers have made in order to get the school year started. Take a look at some of the ways teachers have found to engage students both in or out of the classroom.

The Progress Report is a collaborative discussion space for professional learning. If there are any topics that you would like to see a post on or guest write yourself, please contact Katie Algrim.
