Back to School is Around the Corner! There's Still Time to Help the Children We Serve Prepare for a Successful School Year!
Each year, our generous community helps us host a Back to School Fair for nearly 300 children served by MCCH who are no longer homeless, thanks to our  permanent housing programs .

The 2018 Back to School Fair  will be held in on Tuesday, August 28th from 10:30-2:30 p.m.

There are still several opportunities to get involved in this event! We'll be collecting school supplies until August 20th. There are still spots open to volunteer DURING the event so you can be a part of this special day!

We are in need of gently used books for children of all ages for our free book table! To donate books, deliver them to our administrative office during regular business hours.

Here are a few of the volunteer opportunities for the day of the event:

  • Snack Station
  • Lead a craft or activity
  • Face painting
  • Clean up

Celebrate Summer with a Donation Drive
We love when the young people in our community get involved in helping our clients! Rebecca and Erica Hjelle worked with Norbeck Country Club to host a move-in kit collection drive during a summer swim meet. Both the home team and two visiting teams participated in the collection by donating household items for our clients!
Donors Making a Difference
Due to limited financial resources, we aren't always able to provide clients with the items they need outside of basic household necessities. That's where a special group of people in our Urgent Needs Task Force Facebook group jump in and provide these items!

In July, over 25 items were provided to clients in need and our group has grown to 171 members!

If you want to help people who have experienced homelessness by providing the items they need, join the Facebook group today!
Thank you for your commitment to ensuring that all Montgomery County residents have a safe, stable and affordable place to call home!

Sincerely,

Susie Sinclair-Smith, Executive Director
