Not Your Usual Caricature Artist
September 1, 2020

It's that time of year when the kids are back at school. Or are they?

For some communities, it's back to the classroom in person, au mask.

Elsewhere, it's a virtual experience via lessons on Zoom or similar platform.

Welcome to the September edition of Not Your Usual Caricature Artist from Caricatures by Joel.

Regardless, you may wish to chronicle school-related events pictorially. Or, more to our way of looking at things, artistically.

These top three pics show UNC-Chapel Hill students at a "Night in Paris"-themed soiree. (Trust me on the subject of the theme; I was even compelled to wear a beret.)

Below them are youngsters appearing at various functions, along with commissioned pieces done from my studio.

(Master Potter, at the bottom, may seem like a stretch. But he is, after all, still a teenager.)

I may not be able to work "live" these days. But I can certainly work from photos, and happy to deliver in person to you.

From six feet away, of course (I've got a long reach).
See you the first Tuesday of next month for another pedagogical take on caricatures with
Not Your Usual Caricature Artist from Caricatures by Joel.

In the meantime, wishing us all good health, peace of mind and the wisdom and
fortitude to, as best as can be expected, stay above the fray.
