Plus, GPB is hiring!  August 2018

It's back-to-school time! Whether you're a fresh faced newbie or a veteran teacher, a new school year is a great opportunity to explore resources, tweak tried and true strategies, and to set goals for the next 10 months. So to help you do just that, we've created a teacher toolkit designed specifically around the new school year.

Another school year is upon us! Minds are refreshed, motivation is bountiful, and teachers are eager for new ideas for their classrooms. With so many fresh resources to explore, it can be hard to choose where to begin. We've put together eight motivational TED Talks from teachers, tinkers, and thinkers that will inspire any educator to incorporate STEM concepts into the classroom.

With distance, time, expense, scale, and safety factors in real-world field trips, more and more educators and students are turning to virtual experiences as alternatives. So while PBS brings a summer of adventure to its viewers, have your kids explore the world around them with these 80 free virtual experiences

From historical events like the civil rights movement to touring UNESCO world heritage sites, these resources will give students a better understanding of historical events and the world around them.
The GPB Early Learning Specialist reports to the Director of Education and works across the organization and with partners to create and disseminate high quality, standards-based, early learning initiatives that augment and extend the reach and value of GPB and PBS KIDS audience broadcast and web productions.
