School Uniforms: Buy Them Anywhere!

Although school is out for the summer we wanted to remind you that all West students wear uniforms in grades preschool thru fourth. Any sweater or sweat-shirt worn during the day must be worn over an approved collard shirt and must be solid red, white or black in color. with no writing/graphics on the sweat shirt/sweater. Hooded sweatshirts are permitted as long as it meets the above requirements. The policy for shoes will remain the same. Shoes must be closed toe, no sandals or flip flops are permitted. 

Only Schoolbelles plaid is permitted!

Embroidery can be purchased at The Target Shop in Steubenville but is not mandatory.

Pencil Us In!

Attached is a tentative schedule of events for the upcoming school year. Pencil us in and I do mean with a pencil! Dates are subject to change but we will do our best! Please note extra special dates like parent meetings (by grade), program, and picture dates. Fun and educational events at West are also on the calendar for your information.  

COVID-19- Protocols & Procedures for the New School Year

At the time of this email, the guidance that schools are receiving is that students & staff who have not had the vaccine will need to wear masks when indoors. Because our students are under the age of 12 and cannot be vaccinated we are under the assumption that all of our West students kindergarten-fourth grade, will need to wear masks during the school day. More guidance will be released the first week of August.

Keeping our students healthy and safe will continue to be our top priority at West. We were pleased with the way we handled the pandemic last school year and feel confident that we are fully prepared to keep our students healthy and safe should our local health department decide that schools must continue with COVID procedures & protocols. We will release more information as it becomes available.
