Meet the Board

Chris Wheeler

Hello friends! I grew up in Middlebury and spent many afternoons at the library during my childhood, stacking towers of books to take home with me. Not much has changed since then! I spent a decade in Chicago, where I studied music at Moody Bible Institute, met my wife Linnea, and had a few kiddos (now up to 5). We moved back to Middlebury in 2018. I'm a writer/editor for a nearby leader development company, and I write profiles for InMiddlebury Magazine and poetry in my spare time. I also enjoy gardening, coffee, new music, and Wingspan.

The board would love to hear from you! Contact us at board@middleburylibrary.org.

RENEE RECOMMENDS . . .

Yellowface

by R. F. Kuang

There are few fiction books that leave me pondering weeks after I've read them. This was exactly one of those books. I learned a lot about the complexities of the publishing world and the role social media has in the success of novels and authors. Thought-provoking, relatable, and extremely hard to put down.
