SUSAN MARSHALL
As a Pilates Body client for 15 years, I have come to believe that Pilates is one of the best forms of exercise and I have enjoyed the added bonus of building strong friendships with many like-minded women.
The result of low-impact Pilates exercises certainly shows in my core strength, especially when I participate in other types of activities that I am passionate about, such as cycling, hiking, kayaking, golf, and skiing. As many of you know, I tend to over use my body, and Pilates has provided me with continued rehabilitation after a fractured ankle, partial knee replacement, and hernia surgery. It continues to aid in my flexibility, range of motion, and core strength. Pilates helps me with stretching to relieve stress areas in my body, being aware of my posture, feeling more confident, overall toning, and the importance of a nutritional diet. It certainly tests my abilities, helps clear my mind, and keeps my interest.
Over the years, I have participated in many other types of classes Pilates Body offers (yoga, indo row, rpm, body pump, cx, exo chair, various types of Pilates classes). I especially like that the instructors are attentive in giving appropriate correction when needed and help with exercise modifications when my body requires it - their dedication shows in all of us.
