August, 2018
Dear Friends,

Another summer is drawing to a close here in the MetroWest, and as always I am struck by the almost electric energy in the air. The excitement of seeing people again after vacations. The anticipation of getting to know new friends. The preparation for learning and looking to the future…No matter your age, this time of year is synonymous with back to school. As life-long learners involved in your community, I am sure that this time of year resonates with you as much as it does me. And as a part of the Foundation for MetroWest, you are a part of the ever growing network continuing to enrich the communities in which we live.

As we ready our backpacks and prepare to meet the challenges before us, I encourage you to take some time to both get involved and savor your community this time of year. Volunteer with a local organization. Join a community clean-up effort and e njoy the beautiful open spaces. Visit some of our incredible educational institutions and create a meaningful relationship with a student...get out and get involved with the many amenities and attractions that make this region such a wonderful place to call home.

Warmly,
