The G-7 in France completed with the hope that the United States would talk to Iran to solve the standoff with that country, and President Donald Trump promised a great progress to end the trade war with China. A war with Iran does not benefit anyone and tariffs are already costing American consumers plenty of dollars. The event commemorates the brutal slaying of Imam Hussein 1400 years ago, as he rose against injustice and corruption. The Michigan Cultural and Diversity Festival completed four days of activities last weekend, attracting thousands of people to the event that took place at HYPE Athletics in Dearborn Heights. The event included highlights of various cultures, food, music, dance, arts and crafts. Thank you to the organizers, Ali Sayed, supports and everyone who took part of the event. Hopefully, next festival will be bigger and better.

The Consulate General of Lebanon in Detroit has celebrated planting a cedar tree in the City of Dearborn, as a sign of friendship between the American and Lebanese communities.
