Back to School with Backpacks and More!

Through our partnership with Goddard Riverside, we gave out hundreds of backpacks on the UES and UWS to ensure children are ready for school. The young people and their parents chose their own pencils, crayons, notebooks, folders and more.

Congrats, High-Tech Grads!

The technology training classroom we launched earlier this year with our partners at Per Scholas has graduated its first class! Several already have jobs, including Jason Valle-Herrera, who's working for the city Department of Education.

"All 3 of my teachers were very good. They’re very patient and would explain things to us," he said.

"I used to be an Uber driver and I wanted to get into IT. This could be a career, so I’m very excited for that."
