Going Back to the Basics
After the chaotic craziness of 2020, we’re going back to the basics in 2021 as we continue to seek the ONE who needs Christ in our community and world. We want to help all of us become more fully devoted to Christ.

Our first sermon series for the year is VI21ON and we're starting with a message called “Simple Gospel” based on 1 John 3:23.

As the early church grew, so did false teachers and false doctrines. It was a confusing time for many people. What were they to believe? How were they to decipher what was real and what was false, especially since the Bible as we know it had not yet been written?

This is why the letters from the Apostles to the scattered churches became so important. And in one of those letters, the Apostle John wrote one of the best and simplest descriptions of the Gospel. He wrote in 1 John 3:23, "And this is his commandment: We must believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and love one another, just as he commanded us."

This Sunday, we will unpack the need to go back to the basics and familiarize ourselves with the simple Gospel message.

Also, remember we need you to RSVP if you plan to join us in person or in the parking lot at the Paxton Drive worship center. We have slots open, so go ahead now and RSVP (using the links above or below). If you’re planning to watch online, please fill out the online attendance form so we’ll know you were there.

Yours in Christ,
