Outreach News-- Lemonade Stand Project this Thursday, August 15
The Tobias family’s annual Lemonade Stand project will be Thursday, Aug 15th from 10am-noon at 105 Stonybrook Road with proceeds benefiting CGS Pantry Box! Capson, Walter, Lake and Harry Tobias, with the help of their grandparents, Kathy and John Tobias, have been hosting a lemonade stand for 5 summers and donating the proceeds to various charities. This year they have chosen to donate their proceeds to our Pantry Box ministry. Please plan to stop by for snacks and support these young men in their charitable efforts.
Adult Confirmation Class The class will meet from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. in the Parlor each Sunday until the Bishop's visit on Sept. 29. If you are interested and want more information, click here
Choir Rehearsals Begin on September 4th -- Come sing with us!
Wednesday choir rehearsals will resume on September 4th.
The Cherub and Alleluia Choirs will rehearse together on Wednesdays for thirty minutes beginning at 5:15 p.m.
The Alleluia Choir will rehearse for another thirty minutes after the rehearsal with the Cherub Choir, finishing at 6:15 p.m.
The Cherub Choir (for children ages three through first grade) learns fundamentals of music and liturgy and sings at the 10:30 a.m. service several times throughout the year, including at the St. Francis Day service, and on Christmas Eve.
The Alleluia Choir (for children in second through eighth grades and first graders with excellent reading ability) learns about music and liturgy and sings at the 10:30 a.m. service several times from September through May, at the St.Francis Day service, at Lessons & Carols, and on Christmas Eve.
The Good Shepherd Choir rehearses on Wednesdays from 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. and is open to all adults and high school students. The choir sings at the 10:30 a.m. service each Sunday (with a pre-service rehearsal at 9:45 a.m.), at a few evening services throughout the year, and on Christmas Eve.
