Your Support Helps Empower the Next Generation of Young Scholars !

In the month of September, MSP was fortunate to have the support of many donors and organizations who helped ensure that the youth we serve started the school year off right!
Special thanks to the following supporters who made sure the youth in our care returned to school prepared to learn:

Daughters of the American Revolution
Girls' Night Out by Shawn Yancy
Horning Brothers
RCN Gives
St. John the Baptist School
Please take a moment to watch the video below which shares the impact of your generous support this school year. We hope you are inspired by these amazingly resilient and brave survivors and that you will translate that inspiration into action by continuing to support our work and mission.
Read Anita's Story
Anita* came to Sanctuary Plus with three young children when she was 23 years old after surviving more than five years of physical and verbal abuse at the hands of her former partner. She had a broken relationship with her mother, no other family or friends to turn to, and a disability that made her feel inadequate and hopeless. MSP’s emergency shelter provided her the space and support she needed to build her confidence. Shelter staff and residents encouraged her and helped her ease into the community through outdoor activities, participation in support groups, and individual counseling that helped her learn more about, and navigate, her disability. She learned how to identify and build healthy relationships, reconnected with her mom, and transitioned to independent living after 11 months. Anita is now in college and looks forward to starting her own business. Anita says MSP restored her purpose, helping her build a future she is excited about. Anita is truly grateful for MSP and wants to one day help others, especially children, blossom in spite of domestic violence trauma.

Make an Impact!
MSP meets the needs of survivors of domestic violence where they are at any given moment...wherever that might be. We provide survivors and their children with caring, safe, supportive services to engage with, and help them find comfort, even in their most challenging times. There are a few meaningful ways that you can support the needs of survivors:
• Make an in-kind donation to support our work

• Volunteer with us! We have many flexible volunteer opportunities
allowing you or your group to support survivors

• Make a Recurring Donation to continuously support our mission

• Make a One Time Charitable Contribution to support a survivor's
