Join Louise Sacco, Permanent Acting Interim Executive Director of the Museum of Bad Art, for the worst art you've ever seen! The Museum of Bad Art (MOBA), formerly located in the basement of the Somerville Theatre in Davis Square, has collected, exhibited and celebrated the worst of art for more than 20 years. Sacco will describe the thinking behind the museum, their selection criteria and its relationship to the artists. She will also share many of MOBA's "masterpieces" that belong in the world's leading (and only) museum dedicated to bad art.

We have a brand new online book group starting, and we need your help selecting the title. The focus will be on relatively short, approachable books: some of them dealing with relatively light subjects, others grappling with serious ideas.

What would you like to read: Heat, So You've Been Publicly Shamed, or Conditional Citizens? Contact Kevin at kokelly@minlib.net to cast your vote.

Begin a middle grade fantasy series! Morrigan Crow is born on Eventide, the unluckiest day of the year. As such, she is a cursed child, blamed for everything that goes wrong in her town and fated to die on her eleventh birthday, until a ginger-haired stranger offers her an escape. The first three books in the series are available, with three more to come. Embrace the series before a movie is announced!

The Strangers (Greystone Secrets #1) by Margaret Peterson Haddix

This story is about three siblings who wake up one morning to find their mother missing, along with three *other* children who have the same names and birthdates as they do. The second book, The Deceivers, is just as eerie, and the third book, The Messengers, comes out this spring. This is a spooky series, be aware!

**We'll be discussing it at Kids Book Club on January 25, email amitchell@minlib.net for more info.**

A Piglet Named Mercy by Kate DiCamillo

Mercy Watson is a fabulous series about a pig, the humans she lives with, and her love of hot buttered toast. The prequel shows how Mercy Watson came to live with Mr. and Mrs. Watson, and introduces key characters Baby and Eugenia Lincoln. Super fun!
