Charitable Giving Seminar
As a tool and means for charitable giving, the number of Donor Advised Funds (DAFs) has increased dramatically over the past several years. This course will help the participant understand what a DAF is, and how to use a DAF to donate to nonprofits. The course will cover the benefits and a few limitations of using a Donor Advised Fund for charitable giving. The DAF often offers tax and capital gain advantages, simplicity in set up and ease in giving, administration, reporting and record keeping. Multiple charities may be supported through one DAF. This course will cover the benefits and restrictions of establishing and using a DAF and provide resources to the donor if they decide to pursue establishing a DAF.
Dr. Brian Olson is a Certified Gift Planning Associate and works with non-profits and donors in establishing planned and legacy gifting. Olson has PhD in Education and an MBA in Finance and holds licenses in the securities and insurance industries. He focuses his time and energies on education (and not selling products) so nonprofits and donors can make informed decisions.
Put DAF in the subject line and include your phone number in the message with the number of seats you wish to reserve in this class.
