| | Badger Fall Play - Radium Girls | | |
In 1926, radium was a miracle cure, Madame Curie an international celebrity, and luminous watches the latest rage—until the girls who painted them began to fall ill with a mysterious disease.
Written with warmth and humor, Radium Girls is a fast-moving, highly theatrical play that has been called "powerful" and "engrossing". Radium Girls offers a wry, unflinching look at the peculiarly American obsessions with health, wealth, and the commercialization of science. It has become one of the top ten most produced plays in high schools for the last 10 years.
The Radium Girls Play will take place at 7:00PM in the Badger Auditorium on:
- Thursday, November 5
- Friday, November 6
- Saturday, November 7
Tickets will be available for purchase online by clicking here or you may scan the QR code below.
| | Online School Store Grand Opening! | | |

There will still be a limited selection of apparel in the physical store, however the online store will add many more brands, graphics, and choices for our students, parents, staff, and community. On average, orders are shipped via FedEx, UPS, or Amazon Shipping Services within 5-12 business days of placement. Embroidered products may take longer to ship. Once shipped, you will receive an email update with your tracking information.

| | Student Appointments During the School Day | | |
If your student will need to leave during the school day, due to a scheduled appointment, please notify the school office no later than an hour before their departure time; the earlier the better. With a school our size, it is very difficult to reach a student with little notice.
When calling the office, please provide your student's name and the time they will be leaving the building. This helps ensure timeliness for appointments and limits disruption to the learning environment.
| | |
As a reminder, the school bus and bus stop are an extension of our school, and students are expected to follow the same behavior expectations as they would in the classroom. At the beginning of the year, we reviewed these key expectations with all students:
Be RESPECTFUL: Keep hands to yourself and listen to bus drivers and staff members.
Be RESPONSIBLE: Arrive on time to your bus stop, stay seated throughout the ride, clean up after yourself, and maintain a nicotine-, alcohol-, and drug-free environment.
Be APPROPRIATE: Use conversational voice levels and school-appropriate language and topics.
Additionally, students must understand that swearing, screaming, seat hopping, throwing objects, and distracting the driver are strictly prohibited. Students who do not follow the driver's directions or who engage in disruptive behavior will be written up by the driver and will receive school consequences as determined by administration.
Please take a few minutes to review these expectations with your child. Thank you for your support in helping us maintain a safe and respectful transportation environment for all students.
| | Class of 2027 Graduation Orders | | |
Jostens representatives met with the senior class on Monday, October 19 to discuss the purchase of graduation caps and gowns, graduation announcements, etc. Your student should have brought home a packet of information to share with you. The information can be found here.
Parents of Seniors - be sure to order your student's cap and gown early to eliminate any unnecessary stress toward the end of the school year. Ordering information can be found here.

Late buses will run Monday through Thursday at 4:30 p.m. and 5:45 p.m. On Fridays, one bus will run at 5:45 p.m. Students must have a pass from a teacher or coach to ride the late buses.

Scholarships
Attention Seniors: For local scholarships, Badger High School will use AppCentri scholarship software. Instead of a General Application determining which scholarships students qualify for, they will have the agency to explore and directly apply to scholarships that match their qualifications, goals, and identity. Create a profile, save information once, and use it across multiple applications to streamline your scholarship journey with AppCentri. The platform will be rolled out to the senior class during Homeroom on 11/9/26 and students will have until 2/1/27 to submit their applications through AppCentri. Mr. Riley will be available as a support for any technical questions relating to AppCentri. Please keep an eye on your emails for more information relating to AppCentri.
Never pay when searching or applying for scholarships - especially National and State scholarships! You can use FREE resources like Scholly - now on Sallie Mae's website - to help navigate what scholarships you might qualify for! You can sort through thousands of scholarship opportunities based on award amount, your state of residence, intended majors, who the scholarship is directed towards, etc. https://www.sallie.com/scholarships/scholly
College & Post-Secondary Planning
Attention Seniors: Now is the time to work towards your plan for the future. College application deadlines are beginning to approach, and it's important to stay organized and proactive. Whether you're considering a four-year university, community college, trade school, military service, or entering the workforce, having a clear post-secondary plan will set you up for success. Remember to research your options, prepare your application materials, and keep track of important deadlines for admissions. Don't hesitate to reach out if you need help with college essays, understanding financial aid applications like the FAFSA, exploring career pathways, or navigating direct admission opportunities.
Please make an appointment with your school counselor if you would like to discuss your future! We are happy to support you every step of the way throughout the post-secondary process. Your future starts now - let's make a plan that works for you!
If you've received Direct Admit offers or messages from Wisconsin colleges and universities, don't let these opportunities slip away! Check your email regularly and follow up on any direct admit communications you've received. These can be excellent pathways to college with a streamlined and simplified application process.
Requesting Transcripts
If you are in need of your Badger High School transcript, you will need to request a copy of your transcript through Parchment.com. All you need to do is register for a free account and then you can send your transcript wherever needed. Parchment will allow you to send 2 transcripts for free, and each request after that is about $10 per transcript (reflecting Parchment's pricing). If you’re feeling like you need some extra help, stop down to the Counseling Center to pick up some instructions or check in with your Counselor.

When to Send Your Child to School or Keep Them Home
At Lake Geneva Schools, we know that regular attendance is key to academic success! Being in class daily helps students build strong habits, stay engaged, and gain valuable social skills. However, we also want to maintain a healthy, germ-free learning environment.
Use this guide (https://bit.ly/healthyLGS) to help decide when your child should attend school or stay home to recover. If your child has a fever over 100.4°F, vomiting, or diarrhea in the last 24 hours, it's best for them to rest at home. For minor symptoms like a runny nose, if there’s no fever, they’re ready for class!
When in doubt, contact the school health office, and let's work together to keep everyone healthy and learning!

2026-2027 SCHOOL CALENDAR
As you plan vacations, appointments, and family activities, we encourage you to use the school calendar wherever possible. Thank you for partnering with Lake Geneva Schools to help every student make the most of each school day. Every day counts! Check out the 2026-2027 School Year Family Calendar: https://bit.ly/4pYIGuO

COMMUNICATION PROTOCOL
Whom do I contact with a question or suggestion?
Lake Geneva Schools’ communication protocols help promote direct, open, and respectful interactions so that we can quickly and efficiently resolve problems and concerns. The communication protocol starts with the staff member closest to the situation, as that person usually has the most information. However, at times, additional personnel are required to resolve specific concerns. Click here for more information and to view the Lake Geneva Schools Communication Matrix.
