WELCOME BACK TO SCHOOL BADGERS!

The first day of school, for Freshmen, is Tuesday, September 1st. All students attend school on Wednesday, September 2nd.

Before the first day of school, please check your schedule in PowerSchool as some room numbers and teachers may have changed. On the first day of school be sure to have your schedule printed out ahead of time or pulled up on your phone.

Classes will begin promptly at 7:30 a.m. and dismissal will be at 2:45 p.m.

From September 1 through September 11, we will run an 8 hour schedule, periods 1-8, no homeroom.

This will allow students to become familiar with the location of their classes. Our regular bell schedule can be found here.

Our normal weekly schedule shown below will begin on Monday, September 14.

• Monday, 8 Hours with Homeroom
• Tuesday, Odd Block Day, Hours 1, 3, 5 and 7
• Wednesday, Even Block Day, Hours 2, 4, 6 and 8
• Thursday, 8 Hours
• Friday, 8 Hours

Transportation routes can be found on our Badger website, under the resources, then transportation. To find your street, hold down the control button and the f button at the same time. This will bring up a search box. Enter your street name in the search box and click the arrows to find your stop

Students are expected to leave the school premises immediately after dismissal at 2:45 p.m. Students may remain on school grounds only if they are participating in an extracurricular activity, receiving academic assistance, or involved in a sport. If a student is released early from their activity, they must wait in the Union until their ride arrives or the late bus departs. Students may NOT roam around the school at any time.



Late buses will run Monday through Thursday at 4:30 p.m. and 5:45 p.m. On Fridays, one bus will run at 5:45 p.m. Students must have a pass from a teacher or coach to ride the late buses.

All students in grades 9 through 12 will be required to use Chromebooks issued by Badger High School. Personal devices will not be permitted for daily use at school - this includes laptops, tablets, or other technology brought from home.

Personal Devices

Personal electronics may only be used before school, after school, during lunch, or passing times. Recording or taking photos of staff or students without permission is prohibited.

Cell phones are not allowed in the locker rooms, bathrooms or any other locations where personal privacy is expected at any time. Students bring their cell phones at their own risk.

Lockers & Valuables

Lockers are school property and may be searched if there is reasonable suspicion. Students should not bring valuables or large sums of money to school. Phones are not allowed in locker rooms or adjoining bathrooms where personal privacy is expected. The school is not responsible for lost or stolen personal property.

Students may not use outside food delivery services from businesses, Door Dash, Uber Eats, etc. to have lunch/snacks/items delivered to Badger High School. Deliveries of this nature will be denied at the door and sent away at the student's expense.

Badger does not have a “school supply list.” Students are asked to bring in basic supplies: pens, pencils, paper, folders. Each individual teacher will let them know what specific items will be required.  

Freshmen are required to purchase a shirt ($10) for PE. Freshmen are required to wear the Badger PE shirt but will be able to wear their own athletic shorts or jogging pants for class. Students in grades 10-12 do not have to wear a Badger PE shirt. 

Please note that students are not allowed to wear jean shorts, zip-off shorts, or any other everyday attire for class. In addition, shorts or jogging pants must fit appropriately covering all areas, not worn below one’s hips, and be suitable for athletic activities.

PE shirts will be distributed by PE teachers during the first few days of class. If your student does not have PE class until second semester, they will receive their shirt at that time. 

Report cards will be emailed to all students and parent/guardians approximately two weeks after the end of each semester. Thank you for your assistance with this process.

Lake Geneva Schools has partnered with Dousman Transport Company (DTC) to bring you a new app called ZONAR MyView. This app is designed to improve safety, communication, and convenience for families by providing greater visibility into their child's transportation. Participation in the ZONAR MyView app is entirely optional, but we encourage you to use this convenient tool.

With ZONAR MyView, you can expect:

• Bus Tracking: View your child’s bus location through a secure mobile app.
• Notifications and Alerts: Receive notifications when the bus is approaching your stop, as well as alerts for delays or schedule changes.
• Improved Communication: Important transportation messages from DTC will be sent directly through the app.
• Easy to Use: The app is simple to navigate on your smartphone or tablet.

Seniors - click on this link to order your 2027 Senior wear. Deadline to order is Sunday, September 13, 2026. No late orders will be accepted.

If you would like to pay with cash or check (payable to Badger), please drop off your payment in the front office. Be sure to have exact change and make sure cash is in an envelope with the student's name and the words "senior shirts" written on the front.

Seniors typically wear their senior shirt to the homecoming pep assembly and festivities. Any questions, please contact Emily Koltz, Senior Class Advisor at emily.koltz@badger.k12.wi.us.

Photo make up day will take place during the morning of Thursday, September 10. This day is for students who were not able to have their photo taken on August 3.

Photo retake day will be held on Friday, October 23, from 7:45AM - 10:00AM. This day is for students who are not happy with their photo and/or their previously purchased photo package.

Seniors, Parents/Guardians, it is very important that you have updated your emails during registration and check your emails regularly as you will be notified about important dates!

If you do not submit a photo, your 26-27 student ID photo will be used. Please make sure you attend picture day or picture retake day. We cannot use student ID photos from previous years or those taken at the library.

Submitted photographs must be in vertical format, high resolution, school-appropriate, and submitted digitally. 

Senior portrait photo submission due date is Friday, October 30th.

Yearbooks are $80 each through August 30th; prices will increase on September 1st. The deadline to order a yearbook is February 28th. A limited number of extra yearbooks will be available for purchase.

Jostens offers the option to make three equal and partial payments. Pre-order payments can be made by check and mailed directly to Jostens. Yearbooks will arrive in late May."

You may design your own senior ad through Jostens here. The deadline for senior recognition ads is February 12th.

Credit card payment is available through Jostens website, with an option for a payment plan. Senior ads can include a mix of current and childhood photos of the graduating senior, as well as a message from friends or family.

SCHEDULE CHANGES

Schedule changes for the upcoming school year must abide by Badger's schedule change policy put in place by our administration.

Valid Reasons for Schedule Changes (only if space is available): • Course needed for graduation • Approved for Start College Now, Early College Credit, or Career Connect • IEP or 504 accommodation • Recovery credit needed for graduation • Student doesn't meet course prerequisite

Schedules Will NOT Be Changed For: • Change of mind or career path • Failing or low grade in a year-long class • Teacher preference • Being with a friend • Lunch period preference • Job or athletics commitment

Students should report to the courses listed on their schedule. Any other requests for schedule changes will be considered only if there are extenuating circumstances. 



SENIOR COLLEGE INFORMATION NIGHT 

Wednesday - September 9th (5:30PM-6:30PM)

New Visions @ Badger High School

Where are you in the college planning process? Have you looked into scholarships? Have you written your essays? 

Please join your school counselors for college information and bring any questions you might have!

All students who drive to school must have a new student parking permit for the current school year. We will need the following items:

1. 2026-27 Parking Permit Application & Agreement Form. This form is available in PowerSchool when completing online registration under “General Forms”, on the website, or in the Main Office.

2. Current copy of the student’s driver’s license.  

3. $10.00. You can pay by: cash, check or RevTrak. If you pay online, we ask that you print the copy of your transaction and bring it with you. 

4. All fees and fines must be paid in full in order to apply for a parking permit.

Information will be sent out to seniors regarding this event.  

The Badger Library Learning Center is ready for another great school year!  Our library is dedicated to providing the most recent and reliable resources for our students and staff.  Whether it is checking out a book, accessing an eMagazine, 3D printing a project for class in our FabLab, learning a new skill such as laser engraving, or grabbing a cup of coffee from our student-run Badger Brew Coffee Shop, the library is the place for Badgers to be.  All freshman students will visit the library in the first month of school to get acquainted with the space, staff, and resources.  Students are encouraged to visit the library before and/or after school or during their study hall.  Library hours are from 7:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. on school days when students are present. Watch for more information about the library resources in the monthly newsletters.

Tree House Child and Family Center: Positive Behavior Strategies – Free Virtual Training

Open to parents, primary caregivers, educators, and youth-serving professionals! Topics in this one-hour virtual workshop include:

– How to help prevent challenging behaviors from occurring

– How to understand the acting-out cycle and when to intervene

– How to give effective instructions to improve listening

– How to promote self-regulation skills and guidelines for screen time

Lake Geneva Schools’ communication protocols help promote direct, open, and respectful interactions so that we can quickly and efficiently resolve problems and concerns. The communication protocol starts with the staff member closest to the situation, as that person usually has the most information.
