Badger High School Names Kendall Associate Principal

Lisa Kendall has been named an Associate Principal of Badger High School by the Lake Geneva-Genoa City Union High School Board. “I am pleased and excited to announce the hiring of Mrs. Lisa Kendall as an Associate Principal at Badger High School,” said Dr. Peter Wilson, Superintendent.

Mrs. Kendall has twenty years of experience in education, with the last six serving as a Chemistry Teacher at Wilmot Union High School. She replaces Mrs. Katherine Stanton, who accepted the Principal position at Star Center Elementary School in July.

“I am thrilled for this opportunity to join Badger High School, and I look forward to connecting with all of our students, the staff and the community,” said Kendall. “My goal in education continues to be that every student realizes their worth, achieves success, and discovers their passions while in our building,” she continued.

Mrs. Kendall received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership with Principal Licensure from Cardinal Stritch University.

“I’m excited to have Mrs. Kendall join the leadership team at Badger High School,” said Superintendent Peter Wilson. “She has a passion for student connection, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to success,” he continued.

Kendall and her husband have five children, ages 19, 18, 16, 13 and 10. She enjoys being with her family, hiking, gardening, reading, and acting in her spare time.

Kendall’s first official day at Badger High School will be August 16, 2022.

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) waiver that provided free meals to students due to the COVID-19 pandemic expired on June 30, 2022. This means that school meals will no longer automatically be free for everyone.

Principal's Note

Welcome new and returning Badger Families.  Our Badger staff is excited to get the 2022-23 school year going!  You will see many new faces in the Badger classrooms and a new look in the Union Cafeteria area. What has not changed is our dedication to ensuring that EVERY Badger student has a pathway to academic success and personal success.

Badger is a place of incredible opportunity for our students.  In coming Newsletters you will hear about all the academic choices students have to select course work that propels them forward.

Success starts with a simple thing - showing up.  Students who are ontime and present throughout the year reap the benefits of all Badger has to offer.  This also helps students practice what their post high school years will demand.  “You must be present to win” is not just a catchy phrase, it is a key to success.  Please have a conversation with your student about the importance of attending and also getting involved in the Badger community.

The Badger community has updated our cell phone procedure to reflect a focus on the academic and emotional health of our students.  Cell phones are not to be used in the classroom.  Students have access to their phones before school, during passing time, at lunch, and after school.  Please note that your student will not be able to respond to a text message or phone call while in their classes.  If you do need to contact your student during class, please call the main office at 348-2000 and we will get a message to your student.

This is gearing up to be a wonderful year for us Badgers.  Please do not hesitate to call or stop by if questions and comments arise throughout the year.
