Welcome AJ Curtis!
We have exciting news in the Counseling Department! Please give a warm
welcome to our new School Counselor this year, AJ Curtis! Mr. Curtis will be joining us and taking over for Steve Deering. Mr. Curtis’s alphabet is DR – K. Mr. Curtis has been a part of the Badger family for many years as a Math teacher, Football coach, and Track and Field coach. We are very excited to welcome him to our Counseling Department and are looking forward to a great school year!
Schedule Changes
Schedule changes for the upcoming school year for both first and second
semester were considered from August 5th – August 16th only, and limited to absolutely necessary changes. All schedules are now final and students will be reporting to the courses they selected the previous year. Any other requests for schedule changes will be considered only if there are extenuating circumstances. If a student or parent feels these circumstances exist and they want a schedule change request to be considered, a form (available in the Counseling Center) must be completed by the student, signed by the parent, and submitted to the counselor BEFORE the end of the first week of the semester.
Students who are having problems in a course may request to drop the course up to two weeks after the start of each semester, with no grade penalty. Students are allowed to only drop one course per school year. They will receive a grade of “Withdrawal” – (W) on their transcript. If a course is dropped after the fourth week of the class, a grade of “Failure” (F) may be assigned to the course for the current and future grade reports. The “F” will appear on transcripts as a semester grade and will be included in
the GPA calculations.
