"Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells".....
We are rapidly heading into the Winter Break from December 23-January 2nd, then, following that, the end of first semester on January 20. It is extremely important to make sure your students are keeping up with academics as when we return from break things happen pretty quickly. Be sure to encourage your student to use their time wisely to stay on track academically.
On December 7 we will be having another round of Parent/Teacher Conferences in our PE Center from 3:30-7:00 p.m. At the last conferences we had record turnout which we hope to repeat. Our teachers really look forward to having face-to-face conferences with you.
During this holiday season it is important to give and help out others. Our Business Department through DECA does a wonderful Holiday Drive each year to support local families and brighten up their holidays. If you are interested in helping out, please feel free to visit the Lake Geneva Wal-Mart and purchase something from the giving tree located in the store, or feel free to donate money to Badger High School and let the student members do the shopping on your behalf. We appreciate any and all support with this drive.
As we deal with the cold weather and many other challenges that come with that, please be sure to remember any and all school cancellations will be communicated to you via school messenger, or you can watch for closings on the following news stations: TMJ 4, FOX 6, WISN 12 or listen to Lake 96.1 WLKG. Please be sure to update PowerSchool with your current contact information in order to receive these notifications.
I wish all of you a festive holiday season full of much cheer and happiness!
"
Badger High School is a Value Up school
. We recognize that each person in this school is valuable and of equal value. That value is not determined by appearance, success, intelligence, or behavior. It is found in our potential to treat each other well, to learn and grow, and because tomorrow has yet to be lived."

During the month of December we will continue to assist seniors with post high school planning and college applications. The Counseling Department is also encouraging students to continue to search for scholarship opportunities. You can find many scholarships available on the Badger website. REMINDER: The general scholarship application is due on January 6, 2017. Other scholarships have different due dates so pay attention to those as you are applying.
Do not forget to attend the Parent/Student Scholarship Information Night on December 7th at 6:00PM in the recital hall. The scholarship information night will allow students and parents to gather information and ask questions that you may have regarding the scholarship process.
Thank you to all of those who helped support the Bucky Scholarship Gala in November!
On November 18th the University of Wisconsin Whitewater held their fifth onsite admission at Badger High School. We would like to congratulate the students that received admission into the university.
This year course registration will be taking place in January. Now is a good time for students and parents to start looking over the course guide and thinking about classes for next year. The course guide will be getting moved online to the Badger website for quick and easy access to students and parents.
