This month, our students are selecting courses for next year. Please be sure to spend time with your student and the Badger Course Guide. Between our quality required courses and our extensive elective program, the Guide is a pretty fun read. In each area of the guide, there are career clusters that link course work to professions. February 12th is our Incoming Ninth grade night. This evening will give current eight graders an opportunity to hear about our course offerings and registration process, sign up for athletics and clubs, and hear from our current students what life is like for Badger students.
Our junior class will participate in
My LIfe
on February 13th. This is a simulation where students are given a profession and salary determined by an interest survey they completed. Students will then engage with community and school volunteers simulating the financial, family, and community obligations they will face in life outside of high school. Feedback has been overwhelmingly positive as to the benefits of this program. Juniors will also complete the pre-ACT test information on this day as well in preparation for the ACT test they will take in March.
