"Summertime"
People ask me often, are you glad the year is over? Are you ready for summer? My answer is that my concern is getting our students prepared for the future and completing what is needed to help ensure their continued success. What does summer look like for a Principal? It isn't all vacation! We work on the initiatives of the next year. We deal with staffing, preparation for our incoming new students, button up items from the most recent school year, meet with new families to our district, monitor summer school, on-board new staff and teachers, and so on. As I complete my first full year I am very pleased with my position and look forward to continue building Badger High School up.
I applaud all of our students, families, teachers and staff for a great school year. We have all worked hard and deserve a little rest and relaxation to gear up for the next year ahead! Congratulations to the Class of 2017 and all the academic and athletic/extracurricular accomplishments. What a great class indeed!
Enjoy the summertime and feel free to visit us Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m.-12:45 p.m. except 4th of July.
"Inspire Southeastern Wisconsin"
You may or may not know about a state initiative called Academic and Career Planning. This is a process that actually begins in Middle School. Lake Geneva Schools uses the program called "Career Cruising". I am pleased to announce that next year we are forming a partnership with Inspire Southeastern Wisconsin. What does this mean for Badger students? This means that students will gain exclusive access to a variety of business and industry partners that are willing to provide mentorship, internship, and career advice. Students will have the ability to communicate directly with these individuals as part of our partnership. I have met with the people behind this and I am excited to begin our partnership. I have a link to share below that is a quick video that highlights the needs in business and industry. As we move forward I encourage family members to access the career cruising site with your student(s).

Lake Geneva Online Options
In July we will be accepting applications to participate in our Lake Geneva Online Options program. To see more information and view a video of our meeting we held in May visit the link below.
