Principal's Note
February is a busy month looking forward to the 2021-22 school year. Registration for classes starts on February 5 and ends on February 19. During this period, students will meet in small groups with their counselors receiving the Career Planning and Course Guide booklet along with instructions for online registration. New this year in the Course Guide is the list of the Academies of Badger. This programming consolidates all the offerings at Badger that lead to Advanced Placement, College credit and/or Credentials, and Industry Recognized Credentials. Take a moment to review with your student. The Academies are designed for students to engage fully in the programming or to take a class here and there as part of their journey of discovering post high school possibilities.

In addition to class meetings with our Guidance Counselors, Badger has created a video that highlights all the opportunities available to students. Please check out this video on our website. The beauty of the video is that it can be watched in its entirety or in sections of interest. This will help you and your student determine interest in varied courses. If you and your student have questions or need help accessing the registration process, please contact our Guidance Department for assistance.

This month we will have our last Parent/Teacher Conference for the year on February 24, 4pm - 7pm. As with the two previous conferences we’ve had this year, we will have a virtual component and conferences will be by appointment. The majority of the Conferences will be virtual, but if you need the conference to be by phone or in person, please contact each teacher directly. Teachers will send out invites as we get closer to the date with detailed instructions as to how to access their schedule for the night. We have three options to set up the conference: Use your Google mail account, use your students’ account, or email/call teachers directly to schedule.

February is on track to be a very busy month full of activities. Thank you for your continued support of our students and staff as we continue to navigate this wild and ever changing school year.
