“When you’re an Addams, you need to have a sense of humor”.
The Addams Family is coming to Badger. November 7-9th our Auditorium will be transformed into a home many of us (dating myself) know and love. Our theater students have been practicing since late summer to dazzle audiences. Please join us for this raucous adventure.
The last month has been full of athletic and academic achievements. Our staff and administration are very proud of our students and their successes. What has been most impressive as I’ve watched our fall athletes is the camaraderie and support that is shown for each other AND those they compete against. The benefits to our students are vast. Teamwork, endurance, competition, diversity and a sense of culture and community are all the positive outcomes of student engagement in extracurricular activities. Students are engaged in a wide variety of non-athletic activities as well. DECA, FFA, and FCCLA, have all been active this fall with students competing and receiving recognition for accomplishments.
Thank you to all our parents/guardians who travel to competitions, warm up food for an after practice meal, drop off snacks when a rehearsal goes long, and support ALL our students as they pursue their interests. Please talk with your student about getting involved in an extracurricular activity at Badger. It is a fun way to meet people who share a common interest and data supports that engagement in activities at school outside the school day have a positive impact on student achievement.

Junior Conferences
The counselors will be meeting with Juniors and their families over the next couple of months. Junior conferences include meeting and discussing the college application process, what to expect for senior year, ACT information, what the student still needs to complete to meet graduation requirements, among other topics and questions you may have. A letter has been sent home to parents of juniors with information on booking you and your child's junior conference with their counselor. If you did not receive a letter, please contact your child's counselor to set up a meeting.
Scholarships
Scholarship applications are being transitioned over to the Badger High School webpage. Seniors will be getting emails and announcements as those become available. Emails will go out on a regular basis as more become available through Badger High School. The Badger General Scholarship Application is currently available in Scholarships area of the Counseling webpage. Others will become available soon.
College Visits
Please keep an eye out for announcements on college reps that are visiting throughout the month of November! We still have several colleges that will be visiting Badger to speak with our students and provide them information. Sign up and get a pass from the counseling center to attend.
FAFSA Night
On Wednesday, November 6th, College Goal Wisconsin is hosting a FAFSA information and guidance night at Badger High School at 5:30 p.m. in the Recital Hall. No early registration is required. Registration will take place when you arrive on November 6th. Enter through the Commons entrance.
