Badger FFA Holiday Sale is open for orders through Monday, November 4th (noon).
What is it? Local cheese and sausage products, poinsettias raised by Badger Agriscience students, delicious fruit including gift box options, wreaths and various greenery including porch pots made by Badger students.
Proceeds will support our FFA members through scholarships to attend leadership and career development events and assist with our various community causes that we support.
Thank you for helping to support our students!

FREE Student Breakfast
Lake Geneva Schools (Badger and Joint #1) is excited to continue to offer students FREE Breakfast for the 2024 - 2025 School Year.
School breakfast is healthy, convenient, and helps students do well in school. Every student at Badger High School, New Visions Charter School, Lake Geneva Middle School, Star Center Elementary School, Eastview Elementary School, Central-Denison Elementary School, and Maple Park Charter School is eligible to receive a healthy breakfast at their school each day till the end of the school year for no charge.
We are extremely happy to provide this service to our community. We encourage all students to participate!

Coffee with the Superintendent
Superintendent Dr. Peter Wilson will host a series of “Coffee with the Superintendent” events throughout the upcoming months. These informal gatherings provide an opportunity for parents and community members to engage in open discussions about Lake Geneva Schools.

Annual Agriscience Day Science Day at Badger High School
Over 300 third graders from Central-Denison, Star Center, Randall, Traver, Brookwood, and Woods Schools spent time learning about agriculture science at Badger High School on Friday, October 11th, for their annual Agriscience Day. The hands-on experience exposes the children to the career pathways in the world of agriculture and excites them for when they will be students at the high school.
- Badger Agriculture Teachers and FFA Advisors Candice Franks, Dee Lininger, and FFA members set up and ran six labs where each elementary student participated. Those labs are fun (and tasty) and help the elementary children understand agriculture, science, and their importance to Wisconsin and the world.
Badger Ag/FFA holds this annual event as a part of FFA Food for America agriculture literacy programming.

New Procedure
Students will not be allowed to go out to their cars during the school day unless it is absolutely necessary. In the rare event that permission is granted, a supervisor will escort the student to and from their vehicle.
This policy is being implemented to ensure the safety and security of everyone on campus. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

When to Send Your Child to School or Keep Them Home?
At Lake Geneva Schools, we know that regular attendance is key to academic success! Being in class daily helps students build strong habits, stay engaged, and gain valuable social skills. However, we also want to maintain a healthy, germ-free learning environment.
Use this guide (https://bit.ly/healthyLGS) to help decide when your child should attend school or stay home to recover. If your child has a fever over 100.4°F, vomiting, or diarrhea in the last 24 hours, it's best for them to rest at home. For minor symptoms like a runny nose, if there’s no fever, they’re ready for class!
When in doubt, contact the school health office, and let's work together to keep everyone healthy and learning!

Junior Conferences
Junior conferences will be starting after our Thanksgiving break on the week of December 2nd. Please watch your email for information on how you can sign up to attend with your student. These meetings will cover information that’s important for your student’s success in senior year and beyond. These meetings will be approximately 45 minutes and will be held between 7:00am-2:30pm.
Scholarships
We are currently in the process of confirming scholarships from our community, and Seniors will be getting emails and announcements as scholarships become available. The Badger General Scholarship Application is now available in the Scholarships area of the Counseling webpage. Please pay close attention to due dates and where to turn in scholarship applications. If a scholarship does not have a due date listed, we are still waiting to hear back on that scholarship for this year.
College Goal Wisconsin
College Goal Wisconsin helps students find money for college by accessing federal and state financial aid. The statewide program is designed to assist students and families in the timely completion of the Free Application for Student Financial Aid (FAFSA). Badger will be hosting a College Goal night on January 6th, 2024. It is free to attend. More information will be coming.
Requesting Transcripts
If you are in need of your Badger High School transcript, you will need to request a copy of your transcript through Parchment.com. All you need to do is register for a free account and then you can send your transcript wherever needed. Parchment will allow you to send 2 transcripts for free, and each request after that is about $8 per transcript. All Juniors received instructions on how to use Parchment during homeroom on October 21st and all Seniors will receive instructions during homeroom on November 18th. If you’re feeling like you need some extra help, stop down to the Counseling Center to pick up some instructions or check in with your Counselor.

Badger Library offers eBooks, audioBooks, and eMagazines to students and staff. Badger High School is part of the Wisconsin Digital Library Consortium which provides a diverse collection of electronic materials for many schools in the state. The Overdrive platform SORA is familiar to many students as it is the same platform many public libraries use. SORA is available on student chromebooks, as well as in Apple and Google Play Stores.
