FIRST EVER KINDERGARTEN GRANDPARENTS DAY
We had an outpouring of love at our recent inaugural Kindergarten Grandparents Day . Over 180 Bubbies and Zaidies, Omas and Opas, Savtas and Sabbas, Babushkas and Dadushkas, and special friends came out in force to see their granddaughters in action. They were welcomed with an elegant breakfast and had the opportunity to spend a half hour with their granddaughters in their classrooms enjoying a variety of special activities. This was followed by an Erev Shabbos Kumsitz held in the auditorium where each class serenaded their grandparents with a Shabbos melody!
SECOND GRADE CHUMASH SIYUM
On Sunday morning, January 19th, over 650 people gathered at the Park Heights campus to celebrate their Second Grade daughters first Siyum , the completion of Parshas Bereishis . Great-Grandmothers, grandmothers, mothers and siblings came to share in the simcha and express their interest in this special event!

It was just about a year ago, that these same young ladies received their Siddurim . Within the past 11 months, these Second Grade students have become independent learners. They put on a musical Chumash production replete with costumes to share what they have learned this year. In addition, a beautiful video presentation was viewed.
BAIS YAAKOV FIRST GRADE SIDDUR PLAY COMING SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 23

It is our pleasure to invite you to our upcoming Siddur Plays , which will take place on Sunday, February 23 rd . Receiving their Siddurim has always been a very precious occasion for our First Graders and the children will be proud to share this milestone with their parents, grandparents and even great-grandparents!

We are pleased to inform you that all four Siddur parties will be broadcasted in real time streaming video. Interested out of town grandparents should go to www.baisyaakov.net/siddurplay/ a few minutes before your granddaughter’s show time (please watch your e-mail for the schedule). Last year, we had over 150 grandparents watching from around the world, and it generated an unbelievable amount of excitement.
SCHOOL-WIDE KAVOD PROGRAM INCULCATES AHAVAS YISRAEL
We are building our sense of unity with our school-wide theme of Kavod . We had a beautiful combined First and Third Grade presentation at our third school-wide assembly. In addition, we are so very proud of our JEWELS students who are integrated within our school. This joint program between Jewels and Bais Yaakov enables our institution to provide an environment for all girls to flourish. This year the Jewels girls are aligned with Mrs. Barr’s class and participated together with both classes as a part of this performance! Please enjoy the video of  Mrs. Dassie Barr’s Third grade class and Mrs. Rochel Devoiry Hill’s   First Grade class presenting their song-dance about friendship with each other to underscore the important theme of Ahavas Yisrael every day! Students of all ages are being taught and inspired that we must take an active role in being part of the Jewish people!
