When the Miracle Is Not the End of the Story

1 Kings 17:7–24

Elijah witnessed God provide for a widow and her son in an extraordinary way—but the story didn’t end with the miracle.

When tragedy struck, the widow was called to trust God in an even deeper way. What happens when God’s work in our lives doesn’t unfold the way we expected? How does faith continue when the miracle isn’t the end of the story?

Join us this Sunday at 10:00 AM as Judah Kozicky explores these questions with us and reminds us that God is still at work, even when the story takes an unexpected turn.

Hope Church has a very small staff, and we truly need your help to keep our church building clean, organized, and well-maintained. Would you consider giving an hour—or even the full morning—to help us care for our church?

There are jobs for all skill levels, including plenty of sit-down tasks, so everyone can find a way to help.

And, of course, pizza will be served! 🍕

Saturday, October 31 is our Trunk or Treat event!

Our biggest outreach in our church neighborhood is our Trunk or Treat event! We need YOU! Last year we had 175+ people come through our doors! Time this year is 4:30 to 6:30pm!

Will you join us at Hope Church for Trunk or Treat? We will also serve hotdogs and donuts!

Options:

1. Decorate your car/van/SUV/truck and YOU to host! (outside)

2. Decorate a doorway/classroom in the church and have a theme or activity for kids to stop by. (inside)

3. Volunteer for event in another way (see below)

We would love to have 20 or more TRUNKS/DOORWAYS! Think of your vehicle/doorway as your house - provide candy and fun for Hope's neighbors! Let's reach out and connect with those around the church.

Provide a Meal for Our Young Adults

High School Graduates through Age 35

One of the goals of Hope’s Young Adult Ministry is to build meaningful community and create opportunities to grow together in Christ. One simple—and meaningful—way we do that is by sharing a meal together after church on Sundays!

Would you consider preparing and serving a meal for our Young Adults? It’s a great way to welcome them, get to know them, and help create a place where they feel connected and cared for. Whether you love to cook or simply enjoy bringing people together, your hospitality can make a difference! Save your receipts and you can be reimbursed for food supplies!
