The INSPIRATIONS for this issue are all about dialing down stress. Nowadays, the predisposition to stress is ubiquitous.

Yet, in order to not only survive but to thrive, it is essential for us to find ways to lower our stress levels (and the accompanying flood of cortisol and adrenalin) again and again. And so I have been in conversations with several coach colleagues about how to share inspiring and simple strategies that quickly shift our mindset and heart energy to a more effective way of thinking and being.

Thoughts Worth Considering

Have you ever noticed how stress can make us stupid? When we are feeling anxious or hassled or frazzled we cannot remember, pay attention, learn, or make clear and satisfying decisions. By discovering and addressing whatever triggers our negative and often worrisome emotions we become able to better manage our reactions and choose our responses.

Push. Pull. Persist. Power on.

Don’t stop till you drop.

Stress more. Obsess more.

Until exhaustion finally claims victory

and you abandon the never ending list.



OR

Procrastinate. Prevaricate.

Pretend avoidance is the only way.

Pretend endless postponement makes sense.

Until you must finally concede

and admit that it doesn't.



OR

Find your pace of grace

Attainable. Sustainable.

Rich with meaning and purpose

Alive with curiosity and passion

In sync with the rhythms of life

The ebb and flow of Do Be Do Be Do




Give up on perfection

Embrace simple satisfaction

Embrace humanity

Embrace your humanity

Be grateful. Be graceful

and grace-filled

Hmmmm....and it doesn't do much good to stress over things we can control either. Better to choose effective thoughts and take effective action.
