New York, NY, June 17, 2011--Following on from the recent sponsorship of the Dalai Lama's Peace Summit in Newark, Balance, an enhanced water, is the official beverage sponsor of the LUCY SUMMER SOLSTICE IN TIMES SQUARE.  A celebration of the longest day of the year where the busiest intersection in the world, Times Square, is turned into a sea of tranquility amongst the horns, the crowds, the congestion, the signs, the lights, etc. 

Balance MIND, for focus and concentration, is the official non-flavored beverage sponsor of the event ... hydrating over 4,000 yogis and talking yoga with some of the over 250,000 passersby during the day.

The Lucy Solstice in Times Square is an event organized and produced by the Times Square Alliance. On June 21st over 4,000 people are expected to converge in 3 separate sessions beginning at 6:30am to practice 'Mind over the Madness', a day of yoga, health and wellness talks, music and momentary tranquility in the chaos of New York. Last years event drew enormous media coverage and this year's event promises to be even more popular.

 

Being a local NY product that comes in biodegradable/recyclable packaging and with a functional benefit for yoga makes Balance an ideal fit for the event.
