Greetings!

Another great week with every opportunity possible to serve the Lord. I know you all have been at school, work, and play. Many long for the day when Covid is null and void, and many find themselves in need of deep prayer. We do have a number of our friends who are really in need of a special touch from the Savior of the world. God is faithful and we will go before Him, making our requests known to Him.

On the other side of things, I had someone tell me they had come into such blessing recently that it was their desire to simply give back to the Lord.  I was convinced this was why God blessed them to begin with!

We cannot out give God in service, in love and even financially. I hope you have experienced the wonderful blessings of the Lord. He wants to bless you.

On Wednesday evening, we had such great meetings at the church. Our Finance Team met as they always do and are so faithful - under the very great leadership of Chad McAllister. Chairman Mickey Sobeski led our Deacons in a wonderful time as well, as they received reports from all around the church’s life and activity. It just seems the Lord is all over us.

I really hope you will be with us all again this Sunday as we worship the Lord together. Just love this study in Colossians.

FROM OUR CHURCH ADMINISTRATOR
We are very grateful for the continued faithful stewardship of so many to First Baptist Spartanburg. During the fall season, we often think of the harvest and 2 Corinthians 9:6, “The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.” Thank you for sowing bountifully through your generous giving so that more people can be reached with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
While there are many ways to financially support First Baptist, here are a couple of options we want you to be aware of:

·         If you are unable to attend on Sunday morning and don’t wish to give online, you can mail your gift to 250 East Main St. Spartanburg, SC 29306.

·         Did you know you can stop by the church during office hours throughout the week and securely leave your gift in the drop box at the welcome center?

October Prayer Focus
Focusing this month on Nehemiah Teams, an organization passionate about sending college students to the unreached and the hard to reach, serving on 52-day short-term mission projects. Since 2004 over 3,200 young people have been trained and sent out as Nehemiah Teams to multiple unreached and hard to reach people groups in 31 different countries. These teams have worked with IMB workers from remote villages to urban centers sharing the gospel, and creating eternal results. Pray for our young people who have been a part of the Nehemiah Teams, for those who are being called, and for those who will be called to serve.
