What is your favorite aspect of owning a business in Ballard?
Ballard is a tight knit community with touches of a big city, and that makes owning and operating a business here fun!  Our neighbors are truly that, people that we can reach out to and depend on. The Family Pet has been in Ballard for many years and has had the great opportunity to form lasting relationships with our clients.

What makes The Family Pet unique?
We strive to make every pet parent and pet that comes to us comfortable and supported.  The Family Pet is unique in that way.  Our doctors and staff see the value in forming relationships with our clients.  We want our clients to depend on us in times of need and trust our medical advice when it comes to caring for their pets. The Family Pet also has one of the few CT Scanners for animals in the Seattle area.

What do you want people to know about your business?
Dr. Mary Kay Hilmoe has been at The Family Pet for many, many years and helped a lot of pets and people along the way.  In 2016, she was recognized and Washington State's Veterinarian of the Year! We are so proud of her accomplishments and honored to have her working with us.

What is your favorite place or thing to do in Ballard?
Ballard offers many fun attractions and sights and good ol' times.  Some of our staffers' favorites are the Majestic Bay Theater, Carkeek Park and of course the Ballard Locks!
