MAINWE'VE GOT THE BIGGEST, BADDEST AND BOLDEST IN BALLARD!

The New Nordic Museum is on track for its May 2018 Grand Opening and it is already receiving international attention. Coming in at the number three spot (ahead of the Grand Egyptian Mueseum in Cairo) the new museum received the distinction of  Artnet's  Biggest, Baddest and Boldest new museum openings in 2018

The new 57, 000 square-foot facility will be more than a museum featuring relics from the five Nordic countries, rather a gathering space for our community to celebrate the rich history and connection this region of Seattle has to these countries through the immigrants that shaped the area.

Just like the original museum, the opening in May 2018 is the result of dedicated volunteers, years of fundraising, support from local stakeholders and countless hardworking Ballardites or descendants of Ballard's Nordic families.

Are you interested in helping the museum's Capital Campaign and share your (family's) name on the property for years to come? Name plaques are still available and will be displayed in the new museum's East garden. Click HERE to learn more.
