The Ballard Alliance is pleased to dive right into more engaging programs this coming season. We have a number of programs slated to help our members connect with the community, network with members, become more engaged with important topics impacting the neighborhood and, of course, some fun. As we roll into a very busy time of year for many, we have compiled our upcoming programs and
events to help you build out your schedule this Autumn.
-
Wednesday, SEPT. 19th | 6 - 8 p.m. | Lucky Envelope Brewing 907 NW 50th Street
-
Thursday, SEPT. 27th | 5:30 - 7:30 p.m.
October will be stocked with events and activities happening around the neighborhood. The Ballard Alliance has two events that deserve reserving some space on your calendar for:
Ballard Alliance Luncheon with special guest, Port of Seattle
Commissioner Peter Steinbrueck at Rays on
October 16th
(invitation and registration link coming soon)
and an Alliance After Hours hosted by New Seasons Market on October 25th. Once again our generous and fun-loving restaurant and store owners will be sharing treats with the littlest Ballard goblins at
Trick or Treat in Ballard
on October 31st.
|
Please be sure to register or RSVP to let us know you are attending any or all of these events. Check your inbox soon for invitations to October's Ballard Alliance events. If you have questions about upcoming Ballard Alliance events and programs, please contact
Anndrea Dohring.

BALLARD ALLIANCE TOILETRY DRIVE
 |
The Ballard Alliance and Sustainable Ballard have added a toiletry drive to this month's
Get Plugged Into Ballard event. We received numerous inquiries from our neighbors on ways they could help our Outreach Case Manager, Paige Killinger with her work in Ballard. Providing Paige with some much needed items before winter is a great tool for her to use to connect with her clients.
If you are unable to attend the Get Plugged Into Ballard (GPIB) event or just want to drop off your items at a time that is convenient for you, some of our community partners have graciously created drop boxes at their locations.
|
TOILETRY DRIVE DROP BOX LOCATIONS:
Specific items requested include:
hand warmers/feet warmers,
protein bars/cereal bars,
tube socks,
hand sanitizer /moist towelettes ,
men's and women's undergarments ,
sleeping bags, t
ravel size toiletries ,
dry shampoo ,
lice kits ,
first aid kits and b
ottled water. Bringing an item for the toiletry drive is not required to attend GPIB. There will be a complementary beverage to the first 100 attendees. We look forward to seeing you at Lucky Envelope Brewing on September 19th from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.!

NEW OWNERSHIP - SAME GREAT BUSINESS
New owner of Kick It Boutique, Lauren Buehner
|
We wanted to take the opportunity to wish Angela Rae the best and thank her for all the care and support over the past 12 years as the owner and operator of Kick It Boutique. Angela sold her business to fashion executive, Lauren Buehner on September 1st.
Angela is excited to pass the baton to Lauren who brings 15 years executive retail management from Macys and Nordstrom, and more recently running a successful personal styling business and special events company called A Perfect Look, LLC.
"I am grateful for our customers, the Ballard community and the Ballard Alliance in helping us to grow this business to become a well-loved apparel shop for locals and visitors alike. It is thrilling to be able to hand off the keys to someone as talented and fashion-savvy as Lauren. She is going to take Kick It to the next level!" said Angela Rae.
Stop by the shop and welcome Lauren to the neighborhood and see what she has in store for Kick It!
