Earth Service Corps Club
Fundraiser Screening of Elemental Dec. 10

Earth Service Corps is presenting ELEMENTAL: Reimagining Our Relationship with Wildfire on Saturday, Dec. 10 in the PAC. Doors open at 6 p.m., and the screening starts at 6:30 p.m. followed by a Q&A with executive producer Ralph Bloemers. Proceeds will go to the film's wildfire education efforts and RE-Sources, an environmental non-profit. Filmed in Oregon, Washington, California, Montana and Colorado, ELEMENTAL takes viewers on a journey with the top experts in the nation to better understand fire. [MORE INFO]

Apply for Superintendent Student Advisory Board

Students: Seattle Public Schools is now recruiting for the 2022-2023 Superintendent’s Student Advisory Board! The Student Advisory Board is focused on empowering the voices of students who are furthest from educational equity. SPS is looking for students who are passionate about representing their experiences as well as the experiences of the students at their schools.
- Goal is to have 2-3 students per high school serving.
- Term of service is through the end of school year, June 2023.

Meeting 6-7 times per year, 3-4 hours a meeting, at the JSCEE (2445 3rd Ave. S.).

Blood Drive Dec. 9 for Students, 16 & older

The National Honor Society is partnering with Bloodworks Northwest to host a Blood Drive here at Ballard for students 16 and older. The Blood Drive is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9 in the Auxiliary Gym.

Winter Concerts Coming Dec. 7-9 to PAC
|
Winter Concerts are coming up soon! Each night at 7:30 p.m., one program will be highlighted (Dec. 7 Choir, Dec. 8 Band, and Dec. 9 Orchestra), meaning that the first half of the concert will feature performances by students in the highlighted program.
After intermission, the audience will be dazzled by a large choral orchestral work showcasing Advanced Chorale, Concert Choir, Chamber Orchestra, and select wind players presenting selections from Vivaldi’s Gloria!
While all concerts are free, they are typically very well-attended, so if you'd like to avoid the stress of arriving early to save seats, you can reserve seats on Showtix4u. Proceeds from tickets go straight back into BPA Booster Club!

Jam the Dam is Coming Wednesday!
Come to Jam the Dam at 3:45 p.m. Wednesday Dec. 7 for Unified Basketball fun! The Pep Band and Dance Team will be there too! Also, Girls Basketball vs. Garfield will follow at 7:30 p.m.

Girls Basketball Alumni vs. Girls Game Dec. 29
This year, we will be hosting a BHS Alumni vs Alumni Girls’ Basketball Game, followed by a social gathering at Tarasco! Prior to the Alumni game, all three BHS girls teams will be playing against Edmonds-Woodway with JVC starting at noon, JV at 1:45 p.m., and Varsity at 3:30 p.m.
