Collectors' Corner
Over the years, Balloon Fiesta has created many items to enhance the visitor experience including event programs, pins, posters and bumper stickers. Now, these items have become guest-favorite collectibles. We now use the Collectors' Corner page on our website to document these items throughout the years. Take a look at more information about this feature below, and check out these items through the years, here:
  • Programs - As part of the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta Heritage Committee's efforts to document and preserve the history of the event, the official programs from all of the events have been digitized and uploaded for your review. There's even an index of all the articles to help you pick and choose your particular interests and jump right to the program containing the article. In addition to the articles, the programs contain lists of officials, board members, volunteers and of course the Balloon and Pilot Directory.  As a bonus, there's a copy of Albuquerque Magazine from 1977. The Official Balloon Fiesta Program was included in the magazine and includes a number of ballooning and balloonist articles. There's even the mimeographed program from the first gathering of hot air balloons in 1972. Take a look at the programs, here:
  • Bumper Stickers - In addition to every program you'll also be able to check out how the bumpers stickers have evolved over the years. ( Bumper stickers appear to have started with the First World Championships (the 2nd Balloon Fiesta)  in 1973 and since about 1999 have featured the theme of the yearly event. The bumper sticker archive can be found, here:
  • Pins - The third section of the Collector's Corner features the official, and some unofficial, pins made by Balloon Fiesta over the years. ( The page is designed to just let you browse the collection or filter the list by specific types of pins and/or years. And when you see a pin you want to examine more closely, click on it to see a larger version plus pictures of the back of the pin and the pin over a grid to help you better determine the size of the pin. By the way, if you find that you have a pin we are missing, we'd love to hear from you about it. Use the contact link on the page to contact us. Check out the pins, here:
  • Posters - Up next for the Collector's Corner is adding all the official posters from the event. Stay tuned and enjoy the Collection!
Keep an eye out for our new Merchandise Mondays or #MerchMondays on our Facebook page! Every Monday we'll feature a Balloon Fiesta merchandise collector and a snapshot of their collection or a specific piece of merchandise that's on special. If you are a collector or know one who might want to be featured, please send an email to
