December in Ballooning
On December 3, 1980, Bruce Comstock set the distance world record for AX-12 type balloons. Comstock and pilot Jeff VanAlstine took flight in Anderson, Indiana and landed just south of Raleigh, North Carolina, a distance of about 500 miles. This record has since been superseded.

Sponsor Spotlight
Krispy Kreme has been making doughnuts in New Mexico for 12 years. And, for 10 years, their team has been the sponsor of the “Krispy Kreme Morning Glow.” Over the years, their sponsorship has grown to include a banner on a balloon and a booth on Main Street where they sell fresh doughnuts and coffee to Balloon Fiesta guests. These various opportunities allow their team to support the local community, raise awareness of their presence in the Land of Enchantment and meet interesting people from around the world. We thank them for their continued support!
