Heading into the end of the year, please note the following key dates for Balloon Fiesta’s Gift Shop:

  • December 14, 2021, online ordering will close to allow for items to arrive in time for the holidays. December 17, the last day for pick up, in-store or curbside
  • December 18, 2021, Balloon Fiesta’s Gift Shop will close for year-end inventory
  • January 3, 2022, Balloon Fiesta’s Gift Shop reopens

Taylor Caldwell has been a part of the Albuquerque ballooning community since she was a child. And now, she has just wrapped up her first Balloon Fiesta as the organization’s receptionist.   

In this month’s Inside the Basket, Taylor shares more about how she became involved with Balloon Fiesta and her answers to the most-asked, guest questions.
November in Ballooning
On November 26, 2005, Indian balloonist Vijaypat Singhania broke the altitude world record for AX-15 type balloons. Singhania launched in Mumbai and flew to a height of 21,027 meters, or just above 69,000 feet. This record still stands today. Read more about it, here:
