Rachel Zenzinger for Colorado Senate District 19
Rachel Zenzinger
Colorado Senate Candidate
Oct. 17, 2016
Time to cast your vote;
ballots arriving soon!

We are getting down to crunch time in this election, and voters will soon receive their ballots in the mail. Most voters in Arvada and Westminster will find them in their mailboxes by Thursday or Friday.
I would like to impress upon everybody how important it is (and how beneficial to our campaign) to return those ballots as soon as possible. You can drop it in the mail (use a first-class stamp!) or drop it off at one of several locations, including Arvada or Westminster City Hall. Click here for more information about voting by mail in Senate District 19.

If you have any questions about your ballots, or even if you just need somebody to deliver your ballot to the post office or drop it at a polling place, contact us . We would be happy to help.

The county clerk records all ballots as they come in, and it becomes a matter of public record that you have voted (not HOW you voted, just that you voted). As soon as you vote, after a bit of lag time, organized campaigns like ours will quit calling, quit mailing and quit going to your door.
Key campaign activities

We have accelerated our canvassing schedule into double shifts, seven days a week, from now through the election. We also have several big, group canvassing events that you are welcome to join. The first event will be this Saturday (Oct. 22), launching at 9:30 a.m., with Lt. Gov. Donna Lynne and the Pipefitters Local 208. Then on Oct. 23 at 11 a.m. we will have an event called "Boulder for Rachel." The next one is Oct. 27, 10 a.m., with the Jefferson County Democratic Party; and we'll have a second event that day at 1 p.m. called "Canvass with Moms Demand Action."

Complaints about ethics

One of the most persistent complaints that I field as I go door-to-door is the ongoing issue about my opponent's ethics. S pecifically, people are fed up with all the fictional mailers they have received, with language about policies we all know my opponent has never (and will never) pursue (e.g. caring for public lands, protecting access to Medicare). I am equally disappointed. If you want specific information about these lapses in my opponent's ethics, please go to my website; or check articles that have appeared in the media. Those links are available on my Facebook page.

If you are frustrated by my opponent's campaign shenanigans, I hope you will register your displeasure by donating to the campaign by clicking here

Thanks for fundraiser

Bob Hofmann and Nancy Bolt opened their home in Arvada for a very successful fundraising event over the weekend. Thanks to them for their support, and thanks to everyone who showed up, who voiced support and who made donations.
Donations

Every important political campaign these days requires significant funding, and this one is no exception. We need to find a way to pay for brochures, direct mail pieces, advertisements and other tools to help make voters aware of their choices. Please consider making any level of contribution to the "Rachel Zenzinger for Colorado" campaign, and help me get elected in 2016.
