Feria Tabasco - Villahermosa, Mexico - May 2012
John and Leisa traveled to Villahermosa, Mexico for a very special invitation and event. It was the EXPO Tabasco which is about a 2 week fair
held every year in May.
The Asociacion Mexicana de Simmental and Simbrah awarded John with a special recognition for his efforts
to develop and promote the Simbrah in Belize. There were breeders from Mexico, USA, Panama, Costa Rica, Columbia, Brazil and many other countries.
We were greeted in the governor's residence by peacocks, ostrich, turkeys, deer, flamingos, and many other exotic birds and animals. It was an amazing experience and a special thank you to Albert and Brenda for being such great hosts and friends.

Best of America by Horseback Show aired June 8th
Episode filmed at Banana Bank in Belize
Best of America by Horseback is a family friendly show featured on RFD-TV. Tom Seay and his family and staff do a wonderful job bringing beautiful trail riding locations and unique experiences to their riders and viewers, This was their second visit to Banana Bank Lodge & Jungle Horseback Adventures and must I say it was nothing like their first visit. They were welcomed with tropical showers which they did not allow to interfere with their fun and riding experience. They made a great episode and we feel very honored to have been featured twice on their wonderful show. |
Congratulations to Jessica - John & Carolyn's granddaughter
who just graduated from nursing school!!!

The Word at Work - at Work
Linguistically, the word "hospice" derives from the Latin hospes, a word which referred to hosts. The first hospices are believed to have originated in the 11th century, around 1065 in Europe and since then has spread worldwide over the centuries. Over 100 Belizean Health Care Workers received hospice training at Banana Bank Lodge Conference Center from June 7-9 thanks to The Word at Work and the Belize Hospice Palliative Care Foundation. The Conference Center at Banana Bank is soon to be completed. It has a total of 2400 square feet, state of the art projector and screen, sound system with microphones and also WiFi. Combined with Banana Bank's delicious food and excellent service we are able to make your conferences, workshops or group meetings affordable and enjoyable. Email at bbl@bananabank.com or call us at 832-2020 for more information. |
