BPA Meeting March 19
The Band Parents Association General Meeting is on Tuesday, March 19, at 6:30 pm in the band room.The BPA Executive Board elections will be at this meeting, so be sure to attend. If you are interested in a position, please email Yunilda Esquivel. Click this link to see last month's meeting notes.

Samohi Band Charity Spin!
Many, many thanks to Judi Brown for holding a charity spin class to benefit Samohi Bands, and thank you to all the parents and band supporters who signed up! The sold-out class, which took place Sunday, March 10, raised $2,000 for the band program. A great success!

Auditions
High school auditions for Mr. McKeown's Wind Symphony and Wind Ensemble will be held on Saturday, April 27. Signup times TBD.
Stairway of the Stars
The Samohi Wind Ensemble and Jazz Band 1 will perform on Wednesday, March 27, at the 70th annual "Stairway of the Stars" Band Night.

Rehearsals
• Wind Ensemble: Wednesday, March 13, 6-8 pm, with Dr. John Burdett from Azusa Pacific University, Band Room
• Wind Ensemble: Tuesday, March 26, 5-8 pm, Barnum Hall
• Jazz I: Sound check, Wednesday, March 27, 5 pm, Barnum Hall

SPRING MUSICAL PIT ORCHESTRA

VIKING MARCHING BAND
Percussion Workshops
If your musician is thinking about playing percussion in the Viking Marching Band (open to current percussion students and anyone else that may want to switch to percussion), there will be open rehearsals every Friday from 4 - 6 pm.  Here's the flyer.
