Got Dutchmen Part Right !
The Swinging Dutchmen from New Braunfels will be playing at OctoBierFest in Round Top, not the Seven Dutchmen as stated in yesterday's newsletter :-)
Be sure to subscribe to Texas Polka News and get the November issue. It's another great issue jam-packed with info and schedules. Coming in November: Tomball celebrates its 10th German Christmas Market. From a flatbed truck with one polka band to two major German festivals every year, the Tomball Sister City Organization has found the formula for a successful festival. Gary McKee salutes the town band, namely the Schuhmann Band and its connection to the Christmas at Winedale event. Justin Everett reviews the Das Ist Lustig 10th anniversary CD, Road Trip, and takes a tour of the polka museum in Schulenburg. Lots of Christmas destinations like Santa's Wonderland, Christkindlmarkt in Hallettsville, and Slovacek's in West is your one-stop Christmas shop. Find out how you can receive a free A Czech & Then Some Christmas CD by giving a subscription to the paper or ordering from the Polka On! Store. Of course, we have your listings of dances, festivals, and live music events.
