Casa Grande, AZ (May 26, 2021) – The City of Casa Grande (City) is pleased to announce their partnership with Banner Casa Grande Medical Center (Banner) to provide swim lesson scholarships for the 2021 summer swim season.

Learning to swim is a lifesaving skill that should be afforded to all families regardless of their financial situation. Banner wants to help ensure the community has access to this lifesaving skill by contributing $2,000 towards the swim scholarship fund. The City offers four sessions of swim lessons starting June 8. Lessons are offered for ages six months to adults. Each session consists of six classes and are 30 minutes long.
 
Session 1: June 8 – June 17 (deadline to register for this session - June 4)
Session 2: June 22 – July 1
Session 3: July 6 – July 15
Session 4: July 20 – July 29
 
“We are proud to support the swim lesson scholarship fund with the goal of increasing access to such a life-saving skill,” said Brian Kellar, CEO of Banner Casa Grande Medical Center.
 
Families interested in enrolling their child in swim lessons and taking advantage of the scholarship should visit the Community Recreation Center located at 1905 N. Peart Road to register. To view class times, visit www.casagrandeaz.gov/aquatics.
