Summer Adventures

Cool Off Days is Banyan Community's 5-week summer program, and it's PACKED with activities and adventures. One of the most memorable days was when the llamas came to visit the Banyan yard. Even the neighbors started walking over to meet our new furry friends!

Middle school completed two large projects: a plant experiment and creating podcasts. We highly recommend that you listen to Fabi's interview. He shares about his dreams of improving his grades to help him get into a better high school and his pride for receiving a certificate from his MAP testing.

The elementary youth summer program is packed with visitors to the building and fieldtrips. Youth received free books, danced, held a snake, swam, created light, learned about other countries and SO MUCH MORE!

Thank you for your ongoing support of Banyan. Your contributions are crucial in sustaining this important community development work. After school programming resumes Sept 3rd!

School's Cool Partners

Thank you to St Bartholomew Catholic Church for again partnering to fund and pack backpacks for Banyan youth. Together we were able to fully fund 160 backpacks and raise $30,000. This year we also received a donation from Cargill employees.

Check out the 30 second video from our School's Cool pick-up day! You helped make it happen.

Becoming a Youth Employee

The Youth Employment Program is a program that builds mentoring relationships between older and younger Banyan youth. Becoming a Program Associate is a transitional moment when youth move from being a primary recipient of Banyan supports to a provider.
