Sunday Reflection
St. John's Church, Lafayette Square
June 27, 2021
Good morning St. John's Community,
Today at the 9am service we will have our first Sunday morning baptism in over a year!

We will sing the hymn, I want to walk as a child of the light, as is our beloved custom, and we will have the chance to affirm our own baptismal covenant, promising to seek and serve Christ in all persons, to love our neighbors as ourselves, and to respect the dignity of every human being—going to the heart of what it means to follow Jesus.

Please join us in person or online.

Next Sunday we will celebrate the Fourth of July with fife and drum and "festival" music at both services. On that Sunday we will also have the return of our nursery, and the Parish Choir, who will sing at the 11am service.

We are truly blessed to be able to open our worship more and more fully. Now is a good time to offer thanks and praise for the gift of this robust community of faith.

God's peace,

Worship today is at 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. No sign-ups are required. Please remember to wear a mask. Free valet parking is available.

To join us online, the service will be streamed live at 9am on our Worship Page and on our Facebook page. We will post the service to our YouTube Channel later in the day.
