Praise: Join us in giving thanks for the Christians faithfully living out Gospel witness in these nations. We also give thanks for those who continue to pursue peace in the midst of war, unrest, and terrorism. Prayer: Join us in prayer for protection for those living in war-torn areas. Pray for the emergence of stable democratic societies based on the rule of law, social justice, and respect for religious and other freedoms.

On January 15, we reached the tragic milestone of 2,000,000 deaths caused by the COVID-10 global pandemic. Statistics reveal that more than 12,000 people died from the virus each day over the last week. Please join us in prayer for the many who have been impacted by this disease, particularly those who are grieving the loss of loved ones. May the God of all comfort bring peace to those who mourn.

As we honor the life and ministry of Martin Luther King Jr. on Monday, January 18, we invite you to unite with us in prayer for the areas listed below. Prayer points are provided by Warren H. Stewart Sr., Pastor of First Institutional Baptist Church (Phoenix, Arizona, USA). Monday: Praying in thanksgiving for racial justice globally, inspired by the Biblical prophets, Jesus Christ, and Martin Luther King Jr. Tuesday: Praying in confession and repentance for all the ways we have committed the sin of racial injustice globally. Wednesday: Praying in faith for the inauguration of U.S. President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris and that God will use them to lead the USA and the world in racial justice. Thursday: Praying for reconciliation globally between those who have been victims of racial injustice and those who have been victimizers of racial injustice. Friday: Praying for restoration to those who have lost so much as a consequence of racial injustice globally and that it may be evidence racial justice is being achieved.

Prayer for Enlightenment  Make us wise in your law and enlighten our thoughts with your knowledge. Sanctify our souls with your truth, and grant us to be obedient to your words so we fulfill your commandments at every hour, O Lord of all, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit for ever. O you, who enlighten the rational with the knowledge of your greatness, enlighten, O my Lord, my thoughts that I may meditate upon your holy and divine Scriptures at every hour, O Lord of all, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit for ever.
