Thank You for Praying for Haiti

After the tragic attack and kidnapping that occurred during worship at First Baptist Church of Port-au-Prince on Sunday, September 26, we were grateful to receive news last week from Pastor Josué Mathieu that Sister Marie Marthe Laurent Lafaille was released. He said, "Glorify the Lord! He is still the Great Liberator! A thousand and one thanks for your solidarity!"

Your prayers are making a difference in Haiti and around the world. Would you continue to pray for the people of Haiti as they respond to the many needs resulting from political unrest and the aftermath of a 7.2-magnitude earthquake?
Join me in giving thanks for BWA President Tomás Mackey who traveled to Germany last week to serve alongside leaders there. He lectured at the Elstal Education Center of the Union of Evangelical Free Churches (Baptists) in Germany (BEFG) and shared with congregations in Munich and Berlin.

Please join me in praying for the Lord's continued protection and provision for our President as he ministers around the world.

Give Us Strength, Lord

To be more patient
give us strength, Lord.
To become peace-makers,
equip us, Lord.
To be right,
give us your light, Lord.
To accept our faults,
give us humility, Lord.
To be in solidarity with those who suffer,
make us sympathetic, Lord.
That our actions will be guided by love,
give us your Spirit, Lord.
