Bass, who is currently chair of the Department of Surgery at Houston Methodist Hospital, will be the first woman to lead SMHS. She is set to join GW on Jan. 15.
Sepulveda will also serve as the Ralph E. Lowey Professor in Oncology at SMHS, as well as chief of pathology service and clinical laboratory director at GW Hospital.
